Traditional Ceremonies

Traditionally, Kava root was prepared and used during religious ceremonies, social gatherings, and rites of passage. In Pacific culture, Kava symbolized unity, respect, and social harmony.

Kava ceremonies were occasions for resolving conflicts, making agreements, and celebrating important events. The drink was prepared by grinding the roots and mixing them with water in a traditional wooden bowl called "tanoa."

"For over 3000 years, Pacific peoples have used Kava root in ceremonies and rituals."
